Dwarka: Footpaths in Dwarka have become dangerous for pedestrians due to uncovered manholes and missing drain covers. The covers are for manholes are missing, leading to chances of accidents. This can be seen on major pathways as well as master plan streets.

On the evening of October 5, 2022, Sudha Devi, a domestic help from sector 15 Bharat Vihar, Dwarka, fell in an uncovered manhole/drain in Sector 13, while returning home after visiting a fair at Sector 13. After the incident, she was taken to the hospital where the doctors declared her dead.

Sectors 3, 4, 5, 1, 12, 13, 14, 16, and 8 are the areas with most numbers of  missing drain covers on pathways. Pedestrians are frequently harmed in the city as a result of missing drain covers. Things turn dangerous at night when it becomes difficult to spot the open manholes and drains.

CitySpidey has taken photographs of these manholes with missing covers and open drains covers to make the authorities aware of the ground reality.
