MCD initiates new system for online child name addition up to 4 years

Delhi: Municipal Corporation of Delhi has taken an innovative step for making of birth certificate to give more convenience to the citizens. The initiative has been taken to make the process simple and smoother. In that way  citizens have been empowered  with the process of registration of birth by providing Auto Approval for online child name addition up to 4 years of child birth by parents.

 As per Registration of Birth & Death  1949 Act. Section:14, where the birth of any child has been registered without a name, the parent or guardian of such child shall within the prescribed period give information regarding the name of the child to the registrar either orally or in writing and thereupon the Registrar shall enter such name in the register and initial and date of the entry.
The process of Registration of Birth, the name addition of child up to 4 years of the birth applied online by the parents/guardian through their login in www.mcdonline.nic.in with registered mobile number of concerned registrations is made instantaneous auto approval.
