India boasts of a strong culinary culture, made of flavoursome spices and recipes. While markets concoct some of these dishes, one would agree the best recipes come from households. You will find at least one chef in every house in India.

Celebrating these community chefs, CitySpidey, a lifestyle web portal organized the third edition of Spidey Chef, a community cooking competition, in Upkari Apartments, Sector 12 Dwarka on October 16, 2022. The event was presented by Venkateshwar hospital and co-sponsored by Sanjeevani Ayurveda, Max drycleaners, rising star, and Zayra London cosmetics. This event was aimed to recognize the talent of community chefs and enjoy some original recipes.

People participated from all over Delhi and travelled to Dwarka for the Competition. Shraddha Varshney from Ghaziabad, Neha Mishra from Delhi and Devina Sharma from Dwarka secured the first three positions. The event was judged by cooking expert Ila Gupta and Pastry chef Prateek.

With no barrier of age and gender, many participants came here with their best recipes. This event received immense appreciation and love from the participants and the audience. Offering some good homemade recipes, the event covered traditional and modern recipes across various cuisines. The participants also prepared various sweets.

The first position was secured by Shraddha Varshney (45) a resident of Shastri Nagar, Ghaziabad. She cooked nine types of Diwali sweets with different flavours. Her stall was decorated with candles to give you a complete Diwali feel. Her chocolate modak, sweets made up of paan flavour, Bubble gum flavour, and simple cardamom impressed the judges.
