7x Welfare Team, a road safety collective in Noida organised a road safety awareness campaign at Jalvayu Vihar in Sector 25 on Sunday, October 30, 2022. The campaign was held in collaboration with Noida Traffic Police and road safety volunteers from Delhi NCR.
During the awareness program, commuters who were not wearing seat belts were made aware of their importance. Moreover, the public was reminded that a helmet is just as important for the pillion as for the rider. Otherwise, a challan can be issued under the new rules of road safety.
President of 7x Welfare Team, Brajesh Sharma says that the rate of road accidents has increased in the country. Here, negligence on someone's part can be fatal for others. Thus, it becomes imperative that everyone follows road safety and traffic rules.
He says, "Apart from road rules in India, people should also understand red light zebra crossings and Integrated Traffic Management System on the road so that safety and traffic flow remains strong."
The Sunday campaign was led by some new faces, who joined 7X in raising road safety awareness. Nitin Kumar and other officers from Noida Traffic Police lent support to the campaign.
