Dwarka: All Dwarka Residents Federation (ADRF), a resident body of Dwarka organised a cyber awareness program named 'Cyber Jagrookta Diwas' in association with the Delhi Police Cyber Cell team headed by Additional DCP Dwarka, Vikram Singh (IPS) and Inspector Jagdish Jarwal on November 22, 2022. The program was held at 6 pm at Priyanka Banquet Hall, Sector 10, Dwarka.
The main objective of the program was to discuss cyber frauds and to create awareness about the same among the residents of Dwarka. According to Delhi Police Cyber Cell, more than 11,000 digital frauds have been registered with them from Dwarka alone and around 80,000 digital frauds are filed across India per month. In the program, the police team discussed do's and don'ts of online scams and talked about security policies under the Cyber Security Counseling program, among other things.
Residents from all over Dwarka came to attend the program. They raised their queries related to cyber crimes and fraud. Also, the police shared some tips and strategies to the residents so they can secure their phones, laptops and other gadgets from digital fraud.
Ajit Swami, President of ADRF says, "The event was organised to create awareness about how people can save themselves from these frauds. The program was organised for the welfare of the residents of Dwarka. During the program, we served people tea and snacks too because the program was quite long. It was a very successful and informative program and this type of program should to organised regularly for the residents."
Rahul Srivastava, Head of IT Cell, ADRF says, "We will try that again similar type of program will take place across Dwarka. If anybody wants to conduct the same program in their society, they can contact team ADRF and we will conduct it in their society in association with Delhi Police Cyber Cell Team."
