Sukh Dukh Ke sathi (SDKS), a social organisation of senior citizens in Dwarka celebrated Children's day with children from weaker sections of the society on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at DDA park behind Manish Mall, sector 22. A total number of 45 children participated in the celebration. President of SS Mann welcomed all the guests and the ladies from Hello Moms, a community women group of Dwarka.
Members came up to talk about the importance of Children's day. Some talented children in the group recited poems and sang songs. Moreover, some members of the sanstha also sang songs to entertain the children. Mohinder Prakash and OP Raheja, both from SDKS organised six athletic events for the children. A game of musical chairs was also organised for sanstha members and ladies.
Ex-Mayor of SDMC Kamal jeet Sherawat graced the occasion and distributed prizes to the winners. Col PC Chaudhary, Vice president of SDKS hosted the event. DC Mathur, secretary of SDKS presented a vote of thanks to conclude the event.
President of SDKS SS Mann while talking to CitySpidey informed that they celebrate Children's Day every year around the nearest weekend to November 14 with underprivileged children from the area.
