Ranveer Singh charged after his naked photoshoot

Ranveer Singh's outrageous fashion choices, which often stun the viewers, have made him the target of criticism in the past. However, he decided to drop all the clothes for a photoshoot in September this year! For a picture shoot with PAPER magazine, the actor stripped off completely. A number of community activists even started a campaign to collect clothing for the actor after an FIR was lodged against him in Mumbai.

IFFI jury chief Nadav Lapid and The Kashmir Files

Vivek Agnihotri's The Kashmir Files attracted interest all year long. The movie was deemed 'vulgar' and a 'propagandist' by Israeli director and IFFI jury head Nadav Lapid, which generated a contentious debate on social media. During the 53rd IFFI closing event, Lapid made various remarks critical of the movie that sparked backlash. Some argued in his favour, while others charged that he was callous to the suffering of Kashmiri Pandits.

Kaali Poster controversy

An argument was started when Indian documentary filmmaker Leena Manimekalai shared the poster she had chosen for her movie Kaali. Several individuals were offended by the Goddess Kali smoking a cigarette in this poster. The poster also featured the actress who plays Kali clutching an LGBTQ pride flag and a trishul in her hand. People demanded that the maker get a serious penalty for disrespecting the Hindu goddess.

Sajid Khan’s entry in Bigg Boss 16

The 16th Bigg Boss Season received a lot of criticism against Sajid Khan's participation. Earlier, the director has been accused of sexually harassing nine women during the #MeToo movement. Due to his nomination, actors Ali Fazal, Mandana Karimi, Sherlyn and Saloni Chopra, as well as singer Sona Mohapatra, all demanded that he be kicked off Bigg Boss.

Bollywood actress’ charged in 200Cr extortion case

A charge sheet was filed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Rs 200 crore extortion case against conman Sukesh Chandrashekar.
