Dwarka: After a frightening two years of covid pandemic, ‘Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi’ Sanstha celebrated Lohri on Friday (13th January, 2023) in Sector 22 park behind Manish Mall with great zeal and passion.
In the beginning Capt S.S. Mann, president, Sukh Dukh Ke Sathi (SDKS) welcomed the members and explained the importance of Lohri in India particularly about the Maghi mela at Mukatsar in Punjab.

Col Prem Chaudhary also threw light on the celebrations of Lohri in memory of Dulla Bhatti, a folk hero who revolted against against Mughals.
The bonfire was lit by M.R. Malik, one of the senior members, and the president of the Sanstha helped him in starting the function. Several members recited Lohri related songs. Some members also sang ‘motivational’ songs and also danced to those tunes.
There was excitement and enthusiasm among the members which was very much evident during the event. DC Mathur, secretary and PB Mishra, general secretary, also sang very apt poems on the occasion.
Capt S.S. Mann urged all members to participate in each programme of Sanstha with same enthusiasm and zeal. Prashad was distributed to all the participants and also the workers of horticulture department of DDA.
OP Raheja, senior member of the Sanstha, also shared his views. Those working to take care of sector 22 parks were given money as ‘blessings’. Col Chaudhary thanked all participants and members for making this event a great success.
