Suffering from diabetes? Try Amaranth to keep collagen in good shape

New Delhi: As part of a healthy diet, amaranth's nutrients can be very good for your health. It has vitamin C, which is important for the body's healing process because it helps the body use iron, make blood vessels, repair muscle tissue, and keep the collagen in good shape.

Dt. Shilpa Chawla, who has been practicing in Rohini, West shares its health benefits :

Here are some more amaranth health benefits:

Highly antioxidative

The human body includes toxic free radicals. Antioxidants are naturally occurring chemicals that protect the body from harmful free radicals. Amaranth has a lot of acids which protect against many diseases that get worse over time, like diabetes, heart disease, and even cancer.

Reduces internal inflammation

Inflammation is a common immune response that protects the body from infection and harm. Chronic inflammation, on the other hand, can contribute to a variety of chronic disorders, including autoimmunity diabetes.

It may aid in lowering cholesterol levels

Cholesterol is a type of lipid that can narrow the arteries if there is too much of it in the blood. Amaranth may have cholesterol-lowering effects. It also contributes to an increase in “good”, or HDL, cholesterol.

Facilitates weight loss

If you want to lose a few extra pounds, you should eat amaranth every day. Amaranth is a great source of protein and fiber which both help you lose weight. A higher-fiber diet decreases the risk of acquiring excess weight and fat.

With this you can also try some simple recipes of it:
