Noida: The official process of gathering information about dogs, cats, and their owners in Noida began today (1st February). The concerned department in the Noida Authority has already started inspections in communities where ‘complaints’ about dogs or cats are coming from.

The Noida Authority has issued certain regulations making it mandatory to register pet dogs and cats to avoid further fine. This new regulation has been introduced in order to maintain the safety measures for common people of Noida. The deadline for registering pet dogs and cats ended yesterday (31st January).

The registration fee was pegged at Rs 500 only for the pet dogs and cats. Failing to which a fine of Rs 200 will be imposed from today (1st February onwards) and it will continue till 28th February, 2023. In case the registration of a dog or cat is not done before 1st March, 2023 then the registration fee and a fine of Rs. 700 must be paid altogether. Apart from that a 10-rupee fee will also be enforced each day in March. It’s also been announced that sterilization is mandatory for any pet dog or cat which is older than six months. Those who do not comply will be fined Rs 2,000 per month by the Noida Authority.
