Films that must be watched once in a lifetime

Cinema can transport us to a new world. It can bring tears to us and provoke  a thought as well. Over centuries, many movies have been made, but only a few have withstood the test of time as all-time favourite movies. The Godfather (1972)

This iconic gangster movie is frequently recognised as one of the best films ever produced. It tells the tale of the famous and wealthy Corleone family and Michael's ascent to the role of the family's chief company. The movie is a masterwork of storytelling, with impressive performances from every member of the ensemble, particularly Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone, the father.

Citizen Kane (1941)

"Citizen Kane," widely regarded as the best movie ever produced, depicts the narrative of newspaper tycoon Charles Foster Kane, whose lifetime is revealed in a sequence of flashbacks following his passing. The movie is renowned for its intricate storyline and inventive use of cinematography. Orson Welles gave a renowned performance in it and helmed, produced, and starred in it.

The Shawshank Redemption (1994)

The protagonist of this play is Andy Dufresne, a guy who was wrongfully imprisoned after being found guilty of a crime. With his struggles, Andy makes friends with fellow prisoner Ellis Boyce, and the two men develop a close relationship that assists them both cope with the challenging aspects of a prison environment. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman give outstanding performances in this touching story of brotherhood and optimism.

Pulp Fiction (1994)

The interlinked storylines of numerous criminal people in Los Angeles are the focus of this legendary movie, which was written and helmed by Quentin Tarantino. The cast of characters, which included John Travolta, Samuel L. Jackson, and Uma Thurman, performed very well in that movie which helped make the movie famous for its nonlinear overarching storyline, funny banter, and unforgettable performances.

The Prestige (2006)

This psychological thriller tells the tale of two competitive magicians who compete with one another in 19th-century London and develop an obsession with producing the most impressive illusion. Hugh Jackman, Christian Bale, and Michael Caine all give incredible performances in the enticing investigation of the hazy boundaries between truth and deceit.

The Departed (2006)

This Boston-based crime thriller features Billy Costigan, a policeman undercover for the Irish mob, and Colin Sullivan, a mobster who has invaded the police force. Their stories are on different ends of the law. S starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, and Jack Nicholson, played their role incredibly in this thrilling story of deceit and betrayal.

12 Angry Men (1957)

The whole action of this classic movie occurs in a jury room while the members ponder a case's decision. The movie offers a compelling examination of human reason and prejudice. Henry Fonda gives a memorable performance as Juror 8, the lone holdout who urges the other jurors to thoroughly evaluate the facts.
