"In the era of new media, cinema is still powerful and effective medium to communicate and connect with mass. In the coming time it's impact would remain magical," said famous Hindi film maker and director, Madhur Bhandarkar on the occasion of inaugural ceremony of annual fest of IP University 'Anugoonj' at Dwarka Sector 16 campus on 2 March 2023. He was present on the occasion as chief guest.

He emphasised that Cinema is the  medium through which many  social issues could be highlighted to bring a positive change in the society.

The three days event started on 2 March 2023 and will be culminated on 4 March 2023. It is full of entertainment and cultural activities. Many star performers auch as Punjabi singer Sukkhi, RJ Revetor, eminent playback singer Arman Malic are performing. Sukkhi performed on the first day evening while RJ Reverie would perform on 3 March and Arman Malic would perform on 4 March.

Vice Chancellor of IP University, Mahesh Sharma said while presiding the event said,   " After  two years of gap in Covid period this year Anugoonj returned with bigger canvas. The event is a talk of the community and among students who are coming in large number to witness it." He further added, " The event is amalgamation of entertainment activities and cultural activities both which has an impact on the society for allround development."

Many cultural activities organised on the first day 2 March in evening. Popular Bihu dance from Asam and the performance of Sukkhi spell bound the audience.

Director of Directorate Students Welfare IP University Manpreet Kaur Kang informed, “Students of both the campus of university having 114 affiliated institutes are either participating in the event or coming to watch this. We expect not less than 50,000 as part of this mega event either as participants or audience."
