Jalvayu Vihar celebrates womanhood with colours

On March 4th, Global Yoga Mission members celebrated International Women's Day and Holi at the Jalvayu Vihar Community Centre with a fantastic programme. Attendees enjoyed various activities such as Mangal Dhawani, Nirtya, Holi Geet, Pahari Lok Nritya, and yoga posture demonstrations. Traditional Holi songs were sung by the audience, and young girls from the Sai School received gifts on this special occasion.

The event's cultural programme included performances such as Mangal Dhawani by Lohani and Party, Nirtya by Roma Ahuja and Aishwarya, Holi Geet by Neelam Sonia, and Pahari Lok Nritya led by Veena Babar's group. The audience also joined MK Bakshi and his wife, as well as a group of yogis led by Veena Babbar, in demonstrating various asanas and singing Holi songs.

For the past ten years, the mission has been organising free yoga classes under the guidance of yoga guru Prem Bakshi and yoga teachers Kalpana Jain, Veena Babbar, and Suman Narang. Santosh Bakshi, Hemant Sharma, Shiv Kumar, and Rakesh Bhandula have also helped to organise daily yoga classes, social and cultural events, picnics, and educational trips. The association has over 130 members.
