While it is one of the busiest times of the year, with stores and shopping centres overflowing with people, it is preferable to finish your Ramadan preparations a few weeks beforehand. However, if you haven't been able to stock up on wholesome snacks and cooking necessities, here are some essential items that you must add to your shopping list for Ramadan.


Palm dates are an essential item on our shopping list for Ramadan and may be one of the most crucial. Dates are a staple of this month, and we tend to stock our refrigerators with them and give and receive them as gifts during this time. Dates can keep you energized, healthy, and alert throughout the day because they are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, and energy.

Brown Rice

A bag of rice is among the most important items to purchase before Ramadan. In addition to samosas and other fried foods, we enjoy rice-based dishes, particularly biryani. Therefore, if you consume a lot of rice during Ramadan, brown rice is preferable to white rice.
