Quickly resolve disputes related to Greater Noida water bills: CEO authority

Noida: Addressing the water issues related to Greater Noida, Ritu Maheshwari, the CEO of Greater Noida Authority, on Thursday conducted a review of the water department. During the review, she directed the department to resolve any issues related to water bills as soon as possible.

Furthermore, the CEO instructed the department to formulate a policy that outlines the process from water supply to bill payment. In addition, she instructed officials to send bills online only to all the allottees.

Currently, around 45,000 water bills are issued by the Greater Noida Authority.Allottees with updated e-mail addresses receive bills electronically, while those without updated e-mails receive hard copies at their respective addresses.

The CEO has directed the water department to provide online water bills to all allottees. To achieve this, the department must update e-mail and mobile numbers and send bills via e-mail and text message. The CEO has also given instructions to form an ACEO-level committee to formulate a policy to end water bill disputes.

The CEO's intention is to eliminate any disputes regarding water bills. 
Once the policy is in place, any disputes that arise can be resolved quickly. Additionally, the CEO instructed the department to prioritize maintenance work and ensure the chlorination system is operating properly due to the expected increase in water consumption during the summer. The meeting was attended by ACEO Medha Rupam, and OSD Himanshu Verma, in-charge senior manager Chetram, among others.
