In a bid to spruce up the city, residents of Dwarka undertook a cleaning drive on January 8 in the neighbourhood park of Sector 13, beside Metro View Apartments. This community initiative has been dubbed Residents’ Social Responsibility or RSC.
Residents from various sectors and RWA representatives participated in the cleaning of the park. The garbage was collected in polythene bags distributed by AK Parashar, a social worker and resident of Sri Agrasen Apartments of Sector 7.
The weekly initiative was started a couple of weeks back by RWAs and residents of various societies.

Speaking on the drive, Madhuri Varshney of Ekta Apartments, also one of the spearheads, says, “This is not merely a cleaning campaign, but it also offers a chance to bond with other members of the community.”
The timing and location of the drive is communicated through WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media platforms.
The participants also approach the RWAs of the area to ensure maximum involvement.
Participants included RWA president of Radhika Apartments, SS Chowhan; its general secretary, Anupam Yashovardhan, and other residents, such as Raj Kumar Chowhan, Pradeep Bansal, Madhuri Varshney, Madhukar Varshney, AK Parashar, Pankaj Dhingra, PK Dutta, Manju Chaddha.
