Residents of the sub-city will no longer have to travel to Subhash Nagar, Gurgaon or central Delhi for brand shopping or a multiplex movie experience.

Most Dwarkaites travel to Pacific Mall in Subhash Nagar — about 10 km from the sub-city — to watch a movie. Battling crazy traffic, it easily takes more than an hour to reach the place. But now it’s just a matter of months before things improve.
Delhi’s largest PVR — with 12 screens — is set to arrive in the still under-construction Vegas Mall in Sector 14, bang opposite the Metro station. If you have recently visited the place, the building is hard to miss, with huge hoardings and advertisements.
The mall is expected to be functional by Diwali.
Naveen Sharma, a resident of Divya Apartments in Sector 10, says, “I always try to catch the first-day-first-show. But it becomes difficult from Dwarka. There’s no theatre here. If I want to watch a movie, I need to travel to either Subhash Nagar or Gurgaon or central Delhi. I hope the PVR is ready soon — I can't wait!”
The mall, spread across 6 acres, is also expected to house international brands such as H&M, USPA, Arrow and Zara. Besides a 600-seater food court, it will have more than 120 international retail brands, two luxury hotels — Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn Express — and office spaces. It will offer parking for 2,000 cars.
Mall general manager Ravinder Choudhary tells City Spidey, “Dwarka, right now has local shopping centres. Technically, there’s no mall here, despite the urban population. So the place will become a destination property — from morning coffee to fitness to hotels to fine dining, it will serve all needs.”
