Dwarka is all set to celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21. Yoga camps are being organised across the sub-city by RWAs and social organisations.

At Sector 10, a yoga camp for children was organised by Bhartiya Yog Sansthan. The event concluded today, and children were handed out certificates of appreciation at the sector’s DDA park.

Rakesh Mehra, one of the coordinators of the camp — and a resident of Saksham Apartments — said, "We are happy that children turned up in good numbers for the camp. They will also be participating in the events on June 21."

Special camps were organised at various parks and societies.

At Upkari Apartments in Sector 12, residents learnt yoga under the guidance of experts from Patanjali Yog Samiti. One of the teachers, Manmohan Gupta, said, “The response of the community is certainly enthusiastic, and we are happy with our preparations for the big day in Dwarka."

Delhi Development Authority (DDA), too, will celebrate International Yoga Day on June 21, from 5.30 am to 8 am. Mega yoga sessions will be organised at several sector parks, including sectors 11, 17 and 23.
