In an effort to showcase their concern for the environment, kindergarten children of St Xaviers High School, Sector 50, Gurgaon, presented a skit, Our Mother Earth, on Tuesday.
The idea was to increase awareness of the dangers facing our environment among children.
The skit was a combination of dialogue, music and dance, which kept the audience entertained and enthralled.
While the skit showed the children how everyone must protect trees, it also spoke of how Gurgaon was more concrete buildings and traffic, than flora and fauna.
Speaking on the occasion, Niketa Baheti, coordinator of the junior wing, said, "Such events help educate children in the most creative way. The children have worked hard for past 15 days and have today presented the act beautifully."
