So which of the three women are you voting for?
The much-awaited elections for mayor, senior deputy mayor and deputy mayor of Gurgaon have been finalised for Friday.
The MCG elections earlier this month saw BJP win 14 seats out of 35, but later, with support from independent candidates, it swung into a winning majority. Now the three posts will see a tussle among Madhu Azaad, Sheetal Bagri and Sunita Yadav.
Councillor of ward No 7, Madhu Azaad seems to be the strongest contender for the post of mayor, which this time has to be a woman from the scheduled caste (SC). With strong support from most party members, she enjoys an edge over Sheetal Bagri from ward No 10, who, however, is also viewed as a strong-willed contender.
Sunita Yadav remains a strong candidate for the post of deputy mayor. With such stiff competition among the candidates, who takes up the role of mayor remains to be seen.
