The UP CM will be coming for the inauguration of the 22nd National Youth Festival (NYF). This is incidentally his third visit to the GB Nagar area within a month.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath is coming to Noida on January 12 for the inauguration of the 22nd National Youth Festival (NYF), which is going to be held in the Gautam Buddha University from January 12 to January 16.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also going to be part of the inauguration ceremony through the video conferencing mode.  

Incidentally this is Yogi's third visit to Noida within the period of a month. On December 23, Yogi had come to Noida to inspect the security arrangements for the PM's visit two days later for inaugurating the Magenta Line of the DMRC. Yogi had also been part of the inauguration on December 25. 

The National Youth Festival is an annual gathering of youth. It is held to commemorate the birth anniversary of youth icon Swami Vivekananda and is organised by the ministry of youth affairs and sports in collaboration with one of the state governments. Thereby this festival is held in a different state each year during National Youth Week (January 12 to 16).

Speaking to City Spidey , Maj. Gen. Dilawar Singh (Retd), Director General, Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan said,“This year more than 6000 youngsters representing all the states of India shall participate in the event. The theme for this year is ‘Sankalp Se Siddhi’, meaning resolution for achievement. This is the first time when an equal number boys and girls will participate in the event."

According to sources the CM will reach the university around 11.30 am via a helicopter. The helipad is built inside the university campus. He will address the youth at 12 am and leave an hour later.

Some highlights of the programmes are yoga training sessions and interactive sessions by eminent personalities/achievers and motivational experts.

There will be panel discussions on river conservation, financial inclusion, cashless economy and other important issues of national importance. Workshops on topics like organic farming are also part of the festival along with a host of sports and cultural competitions.
