Civitech Sampriti, Noida: Car damaged as plaster comes off balcony

A DatsunGO car was completely damaged after a chunk of plaster fell from a balcony on the 17th floor of Civitech Sampriti in Sector 77, Noida, last night. The car has been badly damaged from top and back.

According to residents of the society, a heavy storm and accompanying rain led to the incident. “A few minutes after the storm started, a portion of the plaster from the 17th Floor of E-tower fell on the car and crushed it,” a resident said.

Ajaypal Singh, the owner of the car, told City Spidey that when he was on his way home from Gurgaon office, he came to know about the incident. “A resident of the society posted the picture of my car on the society WhatsApp group, and I recognised my car immediately,” he said.

Residents complained that the developer had used poor-quality of construction material, and that the builder and the maintenance team are not ready to listen to their problems.

A resident of the society said that Noida Authority should visit the society and check the construction material used by the developer. They alleged how could Noida Authority give completion and occupancy certificates without a physical inspection!

This incident is not the first.

A few months ago too, a portion of the plaster of a tower had come off. But thankfully no one was hurt. “Seepage has spread throughout the basement, and the walls and pillars have developed large patches with water dripping,” a resident added.

City Spidey tried to contact staff of the builder, but no one was ready to talk.
