“We are hoping that by August this year, we will start giving possession of the flats to the aggrieved buyers," an official of the project said.
Annoyed and angered by the builder for not giving possession of their flats, the troubled buyers of Paramount Emotions, a high rise project in Noida Extension, have decided to meet the CEO of the Greater Noida Authority soon in order to solve the issue.
According to the buyers, they booked their flats in the year 2013 and the builder promised them to deliver the year in 2016. Most of them paid 80 to 90 per cent of the flat amount and are yet waiting to get the handover of their flats from the builder.
Suneeta Sonkar, a buyer said that she booked a flat in the year 2014 and builder was supposed to handover it in November 2016. She has already paid 95 per cent of the flat amount but the builder has completed just 60 per cent of the construction work.
“Most of the towers are yet to be built and those towers constructed, are not fully completed by the builder,” she alleged.
“In such cases. the builder is supposed to pay a penalty fee of Rs 500 per day to the buyers but he has refused to pay that,” Sonkar further added.
When City Spidey contacted one of the officials concerned regarding the matter, he said the entire builder lobby is suffering from a financial crunch, due to which the projects were delayed.
“We are hoping that by August this year, we will start giving possession of the flats to the aggrieved buyers," the official added.
