Crossing the Kherki Daula toll plaza, situated at Delhi-Gurugram Expressway, will now cost you more as the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has revised the toll charges.

According to new charges, applicable from March 31 midnight, heavy commercial vehicles like buses, trucks and others will be charged Rs 195 per trip instead of Rs 190. However, cars and jeeps have been exempted from the new charges.

As per a report published in jagran.com, project head of Kherki Daula toll plaza, Rajendra Singh Bhati, informed that private cars will have to pay Rs 735 instead of Rs 710 in order to get a monthly pass whereas small commercial vehicles will be charged Rs 970 instead of Rs 935 for the same.

Commercial vehicles like mini buses and others will have to pay Rs 1430 instead of Rs 1375 to get a monthly pass. Besides, heavy vehicles like buses, trucks and others will be charged Rs 2910 in place of Rs 2800 for the same.

"Preparations are being done at every stage to avoid any sort of confusion and make the charging process smooth," Bhati concluded.

On one hand, where the authority concerned is trying to defend itself by saying it is facing huge loses at toll plaza every day but they have not increased daily fares, commuters, on the other, allege they do not even get basic facilities in return of the charges they pay time to time.
