Residents of Alaknanda tower, a ten-storey residential building located in Vaishali of the city, have been living under constant threat. Reason? The poor state of the apartment has forced them to worry about their future!
City Spidey team went to the said building and realised the residents were actually living in a dangerous condition. From the outer structure of the building to the kids' playing area - everything in and outside its premises is in a damaged and dilapidated state.
Residents of the tower complained the situation has become worse than ever. They further added they have been running from pillar to post to get their issues heard but all in vain!
However, one of the first occupants of the tower did admit the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) carried out renovation work a few years ago but it was of no use as the condition of the building is deteriorating with each passing year.
People residing in the society are demanding the authority concerned to take the issue to their concern and take immediate steps to save the 'crumbling' tower!
