The Vasundhara flyover has been opened for public, providing relief to the commuters from heavy traffic jams on Madan Mohan Malviya Marg. Besides, travelling towards Sahibabad, Mohan Nagar including Vasundhara would become seamless

It was inaugurated by the Minister of State (MoS) for Road Transport and Highways VK Singh on Thursday.

As far as its cost and other details are concerned, the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has built this flyover by spending Rs 49.1 crore. Interestingly, it has been inaugurated for the masses 15 days ahead of the set deadline.

Speaking about the technical specifications, executive engineer of the GDA, RP Singh told City Spidey that the flyover is 586-meter long and has a 6-lane wide road to travel. "Additionally, a 40-meter wide underpass is constructed below the flyover at the entrance of Vasundhara to allow the traffic move towards Vasundhara," Singh added.

Prior to the flyover, a traffic signal was in place at the Vasundhara Chowk. "The traffic jams at the spot was a regular affair. Now people will get respite from it," Singh concluded.
