Involvement of people across Dwarka is needed for effective policing- this was the message conveyed by chief guest Devesh Chandra Srivastava, joint commissioner of police (Southern Range) to the crowd present at the inaugural ceremony of Indian Wheel Chair Premier League. The ceremony was held on Tuesday at Sector 12's Bal Bhavan International School. 

Lauding efforts made by the people in this regard, Srivastava stressed that a continuous attempt by the residents of the sub-city and the general public would help them in curbing various crime-related incidents besides maintaining law and order situation in the area.

On the occasion, youths from various centres of Yuva were presented certificates and kits as a token of appreciation by the police. Joint Commissioner of Police, who is also in charge of the Yuva Scheme, announced a Yuva Cricket League in the area.

Encouraging the 'Good Samaritans', Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of Dwarka, Anto Alphonse appealed the gathering to continue their support and ask others to be part of this initiative.

The tournament, jointly held by the Delhi Police and the Indian Wheel Chair Premier League organising committee, will conclude on June 23.
