Hundreds of home buyers of Jaypee Infratech, the realty company, which is currently undergoing insolvency proceedings, have decided to hold a peaceful candle march at India Gate on June 29. The protest is being seen in continuation to their earlier protest held last week.
K Mitroo, an ex-squadron leader with Indian Air Force, who had booked flat with the realty company, wrote to deputy commissioner of police, Parliament Street, New Delhi, seeking permission to conduct the candle march peacefully at India Gate on the mentioned date.
The applicant told top cop that home buyers of the realty company wanted to conduct a candle march for which the police is requested to grant permission. He assured to the police that they will conduct it peacefully taking care of law and order.
The candle march is being organised to register their continuous protest against the government machinery and the developer of this stalled group housing project on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway.
Early, home buyers of the project staged a protest at Jantar Mantar last week. They have been protesting continuously for getting justice in having possession of their homes.
