The Delhi Disaster Management (South West) along with police, water, and fire department concerned conducted a mock drill for the residents of Manbhavan Apartment (Sector 10) and in Manipal Hospital (Sector 6) on Friday.

The drill began at 10:30 am as residents, curious to know more about the methods, gathered at the spot after receiving information on various WhatsApp groups.

Management of the society and hospital were involved with the team carrying out the mock drill in which people were made aware of rescue operations and relief measures during the time of incident through demonstrations.

Talking to City Spidey, president of Manbhavan Apartment JR Meena said, “I am glad that such a drill was organised at our society. We get to learn a lot about the methods to tackle natural disaster like an earthquake. I hope such activities do take place periodically in our area.”

Similarly, environment engineer working with Manipal Hospital, Pooja Mishra, concluded saying, “We organise such exercise twice a year but this was the first time when it was done in an extensive manner.”
