A couple had absolutely no idea what is in store for them when they were taking their 9-month-old baby to the doctor for vaccination. When they returned back after vaccination of the child, they were distraught to know their only car, a Hyundai i10, on which they were hugely dependent for daily chores, has been stolen.
They left from their flat at Radicon Vedantam, a high rise society at Greater Noida West, at 8 am in the morning for a clinic at Gaur Plaza.
“I parked my car alongside the road, opposite to the plaza and went to the clinic. As we came out around 9 am from the clinic, I noticed my car was missing form the spot. I immediately inquired the security guards at the gate about the car. They were not aware about the incident,” said Suresh Kumar Das, owner of the car.
Das said that he immediately informed the police dialing 100 number. “Police reached the spot soon after I called and noted down all information about car and other details and left saying they will do investigation,” he said.
“I was asked to come to the police station to receive FIR copy which I received today morning. I requested police personnel to check CCTV cameras installed around the society premises, however, they said that they will carry out investigation in their own way,” Das added.
Das further claimed that he checked footage from CCTV camera installed at gate number 2 of the plaza and he had spotted his car.
“In CCTV footage, it was evident that my car crossed the gate at 8:45 am. I identified my car properly. I also spotted the little cut on number plate which was there on my car,” he said.
A senior police official in Bishrakh police station, said, “FIR has been registered and IO (Investigation Officer) in the case, Vipin Kumar (SI) is investigating the matter.”
