Noida: Court hears Ajnara Grand Heritage petition

A petition filed by 16 residents of Ajnara Grand Heritage against M/s Ajnara and Noida Authority was heard today by Allahabad High Court.

Prashant Kanha, the residents advocate stated, “Today a writ petition 22708 of 2019 filed by residents of Ajnara Grand Heritage challenging the construction of Tower-K in Ajnara Grand Heritage was heard by Allahabad High Court. The court has entertained the writ petition and admitted same by issuing notice to the Promoter, M/s Ajnara and directed them and Noida Authority to file Counter Affidavit by next date of hearing i.e. 08.08.2019. The writ petition had been admitted by Court and stay application shall be heard and decided on next date. The matter was heard by bench of Justice PKS Baghel and Justice Piyush Agarwal."

"The writ petition challenges the illegal sanctioned building map dated 18.06.2016 whereby Noida Authority has illegally allowed construction of 26 floors Tower K on a building whose foundation has been laid for two floors only. The petitioners Yogesh Kumar, Rajnish Shaishav, Amarbir Singh, Neeraj Rathi and 13 others are also aggrieved because the building plan has been approved without taking their consent and also because it is unsafe and dangerous,” added Kanha

One of the petitioners, Yogesh Kumar while talking to City Spidey said, “Due to the developer’s unfulfilled commitments, poor construction quality and illegal construction in our society, we had to take this step, as both the developer and Noida Authority are at fault.”
