They complained that they had booked homes in the housing project around a decade ago.
Scores of homebuyers from Kassia, a group housing project in Jaypee Greens Sports City, Greater Noida on Saturday staged a protest outside the developer's office in Sector 128.
Protesters raised slogans while holding banners reading, "Hamari Khoon Pasine ki kamai Jaypee ne Duboi." (Jaypee drowned our hard-earned money).
They complained that they had booked homes in the housing project around a decade ago. They were promised that they would get their possessions within one to two and a half years from the date of booking. But the developer failed to fulfill his promise. A homebuyer claimed that they were not allowed to meet the developer over the issue.
Later, they approached the Expressway police station, where they learned that their complaint against the developer will not be registered until a senior cop intervenes. A protester said, "They were planning to meet Vaibhav Krishna, SSP office in Surajpur, to seek his guidance over filing an FIR against the developer."
According to the home buyer, Jaypee Greens Sports City is a huge project in which near about 8000 individuals have invested their money. They have been facing huge problems but the developer is not ready to listen to them.
