Seniors Hub Dwarka organises extensive tree plantation drive

Seniors Hub Dwarka, an NGO of senior citizens from Dwarka, organised a tree plantation drive in association with South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC), Paramarthi - Ek Parayatan, Centre For Sight and Morning Walker’s Club at a park opposite Gokul Garden in Sector 7, Dwarka on Sunday morning.

On the occasion, community people from various societies and sectors planted saplings. Aman Kumar, Councillor, Palam, also joined at the drive. About 50 trees were planted during the drive.

The participants especially the nearby residents pledged to ensure that these trees are watered and taken care by them. 

General Secretary of Seniors Hub Dwarka said, “Plantation is increasing awareness in Dwarka to plant and protect the trees. This was our first plantation in this monsoon. We will be doing more.” 

Jaitley further said that one of the participants organisation, Centre For Sight, announced special discounts to the people who participated in the plantation. 

“Such announcement is encouraging and it will work in attracting community for environment conservation,” he added. 

President of Seniors Hub Dwarka and a resident of Mass Apartments in Sector 10, RK Jain said, “Such plantation motivates us to do more such things for our next generation. Seniors Hub Dwarka has been making efforts and we want community to join hands with us.”
