As many as 350 moms from different walks of life participated in the fifth edition of Mom Achievers Summit, an initiative by Gurgaon Moms at the Leela Ambience Gurugram.

Gurgaon Moms is a social media group on Facebook that has more than 5,200 members. It donates cash and essential items to the organisations working for kids with special abilities.

Founder of Gurgaon Moms, Neela Kaushik said, "Our mission is to create a safe space for mothers. We want to support them in their endeavours and challenges. We aim to encourage them to follow their hearts, and to provide them with the tools they need in the journey of life. We want women in our community to inspire each other, to network, to succeed and to celebrate their successes with each other."

During the event, a panel discussion on Mom Shaming was also organised, which aimed to discuss the social pressures faced by moms across the world. The panel involved people like, Celebrity Chef, Nita Mehta, and Author, Rinku Paul and others were also present on the occasion.

"We continue our focus on strong driven women with a panel of female entrepreneurs who started their ventures at home, often on a shoestring budget, and then persevered against all odds to scale them to impressive levels and are today shining examples for women and entrepreneurs everywhere," Kaushik added.

On the occasion, women who are active in various social works were also honoured. Latika Thukral, Co-founder of IamGurgaon; Sarika Bhatt, Founder Trustee of Raahgiri Foundation, and Sameera Satija, Founder of Crockery Bank For Everyone was awarded for their efforts to make the city better to live in.

Dr. VS Ravindran, a renowned educational psychologist, delivered a speech on the challenges of parenting in the new age and how to navigate it in a balanced manner.

Sharing her experience, Nupur Agarwal Kalra, one of the attendees said, "It was full of energy, informative sessions, and discussions with lots of fun and laughter. There was a session on 'You too can make trending videos" by Vibhor Khandelwal, an expert from Youtube which was a very informative session. He gave us some good tips on how we can start making videos on YouTube with the right content and context."

"I loved the networking session where we build our network beyond our existing friends. I am sure this session is going to help me and other moms in reaching to other fellow mom's for any kind of collaboration, business expansion," Kalra added.
