The water supply was affected due to the ongoing interconnection work of two Ganga Jal pipelines in Ghaziabad.
The proper supply of Ganga Jal will be reinstated by August 20. It was supposed to be normalised by August 15, but due to several festivities falling one after another, the development works was put at a halt.

On August 10, the Ghaziabad Development Authority had urged the public to save water till August 15. During that period water was supplied once in a day between 7 am and 9 am.
A pipeline of 2000 mm diameter had to be shifted due to construction work on the Delhi Meerut Expressway. Since the shifting process started, residents of Indirapuram, Vaishali and Vasundhara were not getting sufficient water supply. To reinstate supply, the Ganga Jal Board and the GDA are laying another pipeline of 1500 mm diameter. The latter be connected with the former (2000 mm).
