The NGO communicated with the people about importance of curbing use of plastic for the sake of healthy environment.
On the World Cleanup Day, a Delhi-based NGO 'Earth Root Foundation' has initiated a plastic free drive from Sector 13 in Dwarka. They collected almost 60 kg of plastic from park and adjacent areas for recycling.
They also communicated with the people about importance of curbing use of plastic for the sake of healthy environment. The members talked to various vendors asking them to stop use of plastic.
A member of the NGO, Dr Vivek Panwar said, “We have been working to improve health and well-being of our surroundings and nature through various local and regional workshops. We are also promoting and encouraging people to go green and conserve flora and fauna. We are making people aware about effective ways of waste disposal.”
He added that they have decided to make Dwarka free of plastic in coming few months.
