Dwarka: Sharpshooter arrested for murder of property dealer

A sharpshooter was arrested by the police in Dwarka for the murder of a property dealer. The accused was nabbed within 24 hours of the murder. 

Giving the sequence of events that led to the arrest, the police said during the investigation, they came to know that the accused, Nakul Sangwan, had some personal enmity with the deceased, Narender. According to them, a scuffle took place between the two a few days ago. 

“Nakul Sangwan is cousin of dreaded gangster, Kapil Sangwan. Inspired by his cousin, Nakul took to crime and started operating for his gang,” said police.

“We got a tip-off that Nakul would come to Goyla Dairy area via Shamshan Ghat in Sector 18 on motorcycle at 5 pm on Wednesday. We laid a trap at the location. The moment he arrived at the scene, we asked him to surrender. He responded by bradishing a pistol at the police team. But he was overpowered before he could fire any bullet,” informed police. 

Nakul was arrested last year in another murder case. However, he was released from jail in June 2019 and resumed his criminal activities. 

Narender, the victim was shot dead on Tuesday by two motorcycle-borne assailants when he was about to leave on his car at Dwarka More.
