Noida Authority has offered a 10 per cent discount on water bills, if the annual bill is paid in advance for the next financial year, 2017-18.
Residents who deposit their annual bill in advance in June or July will be able to avail a discount of 5 per cent. After July, there will be no discount on water bills.
This offer is applicable to residential, industrial, institutional and commercial categories across the city for those who procure water from Noida Jal Board.
Noida Authority has already started sending water bills to consumers to enable them to avail the discount. The bills can be paid online or be deposited in Noida Jal Board's bank account.
AK Sharma, account officer of the water department in Noida Authority, said that last year, the Authority had received advance bills worth Rs 60 crore. This year, in view of the discount scheme, they are expecting the amount to go up.
