Noida Authority has registered an FIR against 21 builders and 15 individuals (land mafia) for constructing buildings and houses on the authority's land without getting approval on the planned layout.
The FIR has been registered in Noida's Phase 3 police station by Noida Authority's Senior Manager Work Circle Five MK Vaish.
As per the officials, the concerned lands were undertaken by the authority in 2006. In the FIR, the Noida Authority has alleged that the 36 accused named in the complaint captured the land and sold it.
CitySpidey spoke to the Station House officer of Phase 3 who said that the matter was being investigated and no details can be given out so soon.
CitySpidey was not able to reach Senior Manager of Work Circle Five for his comment on the matter.
Notably, two months ago, the authority had also registered a case against 400 residents of Shiv Shakti enclave in Noida's Phase 3 police station claiming the land on which they have built their house was of authority and they had illegally constructed and owned the land.
The residents said that they had bought the land from farmers through brokers.
