Cleanliness contest winners felicitated in Gurugram 

Gurugram: The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram on Thursday felicitated the winners of the cleanliness ranking competition in a ceremony held at MCG office in sector 34. The competition was held for hotels, RWAs, hospitals, market associations and schools.

The competition lasted for a month between June and September under the Swachh Bharat Mission with an aim to make citizens aware of the importance of cleanliness.

The winners were conferred Swachh Hotel, Swachh RWA, Swachh Hospital, Swachh Market Association, Swachh School awards for their exemplary contribution to the maintenance of the high standard of sanitation. 

Among the winners was a student of Delhi Public School of Sector-45, Siddharth Gupta, who was honoured for his leadership role in the plastic-free campaign. Siddharth started an awareness programme to prevent people from using plastic in their day-to-day life.

Chief Engineer ND Vashisht and Nodal Officer of Swachh Bharat Mission and Joint Commissioner Indrajit Kulharia presented the appreciation letters to the winners and encouraged them to continue to do better work in their mission for the cause of cleanliness.

The joint commissioner informed that the second phase of the competition has also started and those schools, RWA, hotels, hospitals and market associations who want to participate in the competition can send their application to the MCG.

Zone 1: Jai Dada Bhaiya Trust, RWA Housing Board Colony, RWA Sector-10, Sethi Hospital, Jagadambe Medical Center, Mangalam Hospital, Shri Bikaner Mishthan Bhandar Basai Chowk, Rajasthani Rasoi Basai Chowk, Prem Sweets Ambedkar Nagar, Happy Model School Manohar Nagar, Government Senior Secondary School Basai Road and Lucky Public Middle School in Devilal Nagar

Zone 2: RWA Sector-22, RWA Sector-14 and RWA Sector-17A, Country Inn & Suites Sector-12, BMK Hospitality Services in Civil Lines, Hotel Destination in Civil Lines, Sector-15 Part-2 Market, Sector-23 Market, Sector-17 HUDA Market were awarded.

Zone 3: RWA Sector-56, Saraswati Welfare Association Sector-53, RWA Sector-55, Mamta Healthcare in Wazirabad, Kaushal Healthcare in Wazirabad, Raja Hospital in Wazirabad, Westin Hotel on MG Road, Hotel Color in Sector-29, Hotel Park Premier in Sector-29, Saint Angels Senior Secondary School Sector-45, Delhi Public School in Sector-45, Government Model Senior Secondary School in Wazirabad
