MCG reaches out to four wards of Gurugram

Gurugram: Continuing their efforts to address public grievances, officials of the Municipal Corporation of Gururgam (MCG) fanned out to four wards on Sunday as part of their 'Municipal Corporation at Doorstep of Citizens' campaign.

The MCG officials, along with local councillors, listened to the grievances of people from ward number 13, 18, 25 and 34.

They held a meeting with the residents headed by Councillor Brahma Yadav in Ward-13, Councilor Subhash Singla in Ward-18, Councilor Subhash Fauji in Ward-25, and Councilor RS Rathi in Ward-34.

In the meeting, several issues including stray dog monkey menace, tree pruning, waste segregation, garbage picking, streetlights, water and sewer lines, cleaning, rain water harvesting, cleaning of empty plots, MG Road green belt fencing, sewer mixing in drinking water, stray animals, pigs, misuse of drinking water, road repairing, encroachment, illegal paying guest house (PG), drinking water connections, pavements, electricity poles etc. were raised.

Some complaints were resolved on the spot, while the major ones were assured to be resolved within a week. 

Joint Commissioner Gaurav Antil, Hariom Atri and Sanjeev Singla, instructed the executive engineers present at the meeting to expedite resolution of the residents' grievances.

'Municipal Corporation at Doorstep of Citizens' is the outreach programme of the corporation commenced on December 1 and will continue till January 25. It aims at solving the problems of each ward by bringing the officers and the public on one platform.
