New Delhi: In view of the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has closed entry and exit gates of 19 stations for commuters.

Entry and exit gates of Patel Chowk, Lok Kalyan Marg, Udyog Bhawan, ITO, Pragati Maidan, Central Secretariat, Khan Market, Vasant Vihar, Barakhamba Road and Mandi House are closed. However, Interchange facility is available at Mandi House.

The DMRC informed about the closing of gates of 14 more stations in a tweet. 

Earlier, the entry and exit gates of seven metro stations were closed due to protests. The gates of Lal Quila, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and Vishwavidyalaya metro stations were closed.

Trains were not halting at these stations.
