Week-end proved a fun-filled affair for Noida residents

Noida: It was a fun-filled weekend for residents and shoppers of Sector 119, Noida, as a number of events such as walkathon, cyclothon and drawing competition for children held in the city.

The activities were organised by shop owners of Hot Mart market, the Aranya, Sector 119, Noida.

Besides, a blood donation and health check-up camp were also organised in which shoppers including residents of nearby societies participated.

They came early in the morning to participate in walkathon and cyclothon.

They (owners of shops) also made selfie point on the concept of 'I Love Noida' which was inaugurated by Anjina Rajagopal, founder of Sai Kripa, an NGO. Shortly after it was opened, many residents and shoppers came forward for taking selfie at the point.

According to organisers, it (I Love Noida) is going to be the first selfie point in Delhi/NCR and Uttar Pradesh as well. It was conceptualised by Urooj Husain and Ajay Verma, owners of Street Temptation, a food joint in the market. They said that the selfie point was developed with a concept of carrying the memory forward.

They explained that many people visit the city and take photos. But it becomes difficult for them to remeber the locations. Keeping this in mind, the selfie point was made so that people can take selfies and carry the memory forward.

The event was sponsored by Auric, Keeros, Street Temptation and FNP cakes. City Spidey and Hyper local news paper was media partner in the event.
