New Delhi: Baba Gang Nath Marg, the road adjoining the Jawahar Lal University (JNU), was closed for vehicular movement on Sunday due to a protest demonstration by the students of the university.
Traffic coming towards the Baba Gang Nath Marg has been diverted to Nelson Mandela Marg and Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, said the Delhi Police.
“Baba Gang Nath Marg is closed (both carriageways) due to the demonstration. Traffic has been diverted towards Nelson Mandela Marg and Aruna Asaf Ali Marg,” tweeted the police.
In an earlier tweet, the Delhi police said about the closure of road No. 13A between Mathura Road and Kalindi Kunj for traffic movement.
The police advised people coming from Noida to either take DND or Akshardham route.
