Underprivileged kids get education on policing in Dwarka

Dwarka: Under the Delhi Police Sanskarshala programme, about 50 children from underprivileged background visited the police station of Sector 23 in Dwarka. An NGO Choti Si Khushi took the children to the police station to impart them education about police, policing and good deeds for the society.

Children were given knowledge about police and its work. Lockup rooms were shown to them. They also interacted with the ACP and SHO by asking several questions to them. Children asked their queries to ACP Rajender Singh.

They asked about how the police works and what is the role of ACP and SHO. They were curious about the subject of abuses, eve teasing and the alcohol consumption in public etc. Children asked how they could make a difference in the society by adopting good behaviour and attitude.

The ACP said, “This visit was wonderful and the kids were reflecting the truth of the society. This is a positive response from them and it will make a difference in future.”

Secretary of Choti Si Khushi, Namitha Chaudhary said, “This is the first visit of children to any police station and this visit was not only a visit but was a learning to them. They were told about importance of policing and need to respect law. They were inspired by the interaction with police officials. This has given a boost to their morale and will definitely work in grooming their personality.”
