Gaurav Chandel murder case: Police recover mobile phone

Greater Noida: In a recent development, police have recovered mobile phone of Gaurav Chandel who was brutally murdered at Greater Noida West.

As per sources, Gaurav was shot outside his car.

The mobile phone was found by a passeby at the spot where Chandel's body was thrown. The special task force team recovered the mobile phone from him. 

Chandel was shot by a 32 bore pistol. The police found shells from the same spot where the body was thrown.

On Wednesday, the police had found his car in Ghaziabad. The forensic team has found few finger prints which are under investigation.

The incident happened on the intervening night of January 6 and 7.

Chandel was allegedly looted and murdered on Monday night near Parthala Chowk (Five minutes away from his home). 

The residents had found his body lying between Parthala Chowk and Hindon Bridge. His mobile, laptop and Kia Seltos car were missing.

He was immediately rushed to Yatharth Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
