Noida: Residents of Noida, especially office bearers of Janshakti Sewa Samiti on Tuesday welcomed new City Magistrate, Umashankar Singh as he took charge of the city administration recently.
He was appointed as City Magistrate after his predecessor Shailender Mishra was transferred to other district of the state.
Office bearers of the organisation handed him a flower bouquet to Singh and warmly welcomed him to the city.
President Narendra Chopda said that since the new City Magistrate took charge of the office on Monday, they had gone to welcome him. He said that the City Magistrate assured them that he would work towards maintaining peace and brotherhood in the city.
He said, “The City Magistrate assured that if anyone would try to disturb them, they would be dealt strictly according to the law.”
On the occasion, AN Dhawan, chief patron of the organisation, Ravi Kant Sharma, Chairman, Narendra Chopda, President of the organisation and others were present.
