Two men arrested with illegal liquor at Greater Noida

Greater Noida: The cops of Dadri police station arrested two men with illegal liquor worth Rs 40 lakh on Saturday in the district.

On a tip-off, a team intercepted a truck coming from Ludhiana in Punjab. During checking, 800 cartons of illegal liquor were seized. The two arrested accused were identified as – Mohd Salim from Amroha in Uttar Pradesh and Karamveer from Hisar in Haryana.

During interrogation, the two men revealed that the liquor was being transported from Punjab’s Ludhiana to Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur. 

An FIR has been registered against the accused under section 60 (sentence may be rigorous or simple), 63 (amount of fine), and 72 (punishment of person guilty of one of several offences) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
