Ghaziabad: The residents of Shipra Sun City and Saya Zenith, societies in Indirapuram, have pointed out difficulties in crossing the road next to Shipra police post as there is no speed breaker on the road. They said that vehicles move swiftly on the road making it difficult for them to cross the road.
They are always in fear while crossing the road. The children, women and elderly people in particular quite struggle to cross the road on foot.
“The traffic movement is so fast on this road that we have to be extra cautious while crossing the road. My mother cannot cross cross the road alone. She has to be accompanied by someone,” said Shaili Gupta, a resident of Shipra Sun City.
The road, known as CISF Road, connects Indirapuram to NH24. As it joins the area to the national highway, It has become one of the busiest routes in the area. However, on the same road, two housing societies have their main entrances. Gate of Saya Zenith is at one side while gate of Shipra Sun City is on the another side.
While the developer of Saya Zenith has constructed a speed breaker on the road in front of the society, there is no speed breaker on the side of the Shipra Sun City.
Avinash Dave and Pritam Kathodia, residents of Saya Zenith, had raised this issue on IGRS portal of Uttar Pradesh twice but issue was not resolved.
“We are following this issue for last two years. In our follow-up, it was revealed that the order to construct a speed breaker in front of Shipra was passed two years ago, however, it is still to see light of the day,” said Dave.
