New Delhi: The Delhi Election Commission has made special arrangement for senior citizens and disabled to cast their votes. The election commission will provide pick-and-drop facility to senior citizens above 80 years and the disabled to increase voting percentage.

To avail the pick-and-drop facility, voters are required to visit official website of the Election Commission and click on pick-and-drop segment. An OTP will be sent to their numbers after they enter their mobile numbers.

Dr Ranbir Singh, CEO of Delhi Election Commission, said, “Those who are 80 years and above and disabled can avail the pick-and-drop facility free of cost to ensure maximum votes. We can't miss out a single vote this time.”

He added, “Though senior citizens are very much aware about the importance of casting their vote, many a time they are not able to due to age-related problems. Once they register themselves on the Election Commission website, a vehicle will be sent to their homes for picking and dropping them on the day of polling, i.e on February 8.
